Current Funders:

First Light Learning Journey has earned the financial support of the Elmina B. Sewall Foundation, Cotyledon Fund, Kalliopeia Foundation, Quimby Family Foundation, The Broadreach Fund, The Ralph E. Ogden Foundation, Bangor Savings Bank, Stifler Family Foundation, The Nature Conservancy in Maine, Maine Community Foundation, Maine Coast Heritage Trust, Allagash Brewing Company, 17 individual donors, and an anonymous mother and daughter who are deeply committed to supporting land trusts and the cultural success of Native peoples.  All support for this effort to strengthen and evolve conservation in Maine is gratefully accepted.

First Light Learning Journey is a program of New Learning Journey, Inc: a nonprofit collaborative working at the nexus of community development, conservation and social justice that seeks to deepen people’s relationship to place through strengthening cultural, economic and environmental resilience. We see a larger and more diverse world that cares about the relationship between people and nature than is reflected in the story of conservation today. We seek to respectfully reduce that gap through in- depth, transformational, cross-cultural learning experiences to foster new ways of thinking and new partners.
