In June 2021, members of the Wabanaki Commission on Land and Stewardship requested that First Light organize a conversation for Commission members and others to learn more about land trusts, what they are and how they work, and more about the legal tools and funding sources. On September 21, 2021, members of the Delegation held a first conversation via Zoom, where Delegation members described the intentions and limitations of legal tools that are used by land trusts, and opened the floor for an open question and answer session.
